CAN I COME TAKE A TOUR?
Yes! We would love the opportunity to show you the venue and discuss the details of your event. We typically schedule tours from 9am-6pm during the week, and we can sometimes accommodate tours on weekends and evenings upon request. Please fill out the form below and we will get back with you.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes, we are happy to work with you and create a payment plan. An initial deposit is due at the time of booking and you have the option to pay in full or to set up a monthly payment plan. For specific information, please contact a Brooklyn Grace representative.
CAN I BRING IN OUTSIDE CATERING?
At Brooklyn Grace we have a preferred caterer, Fresh Eats Catering. We ask that you talk with our caterer initially to see if they are able to cover your catering needs and requests. If there are special requests for catering that they cannot accommodate, we will allow other caterers to come in to provide food for your event. A supervisor from our caterer may have to be present at the event for an additional fee.
WHAT IS YOUR ALCOHOL POLICY?
If you are planning on serving alcohol at your event, we provide an in-house bar service to cover all your beverage needs. Our bartenders are required to serve and control all alcohol, and all alcohol is to be purchased through Brooklyn Grace. To learn more, get in contact with a Brooklyn Grace representative. Our alcohol policies are subject to state laws.
WHEN IS BROOKLYN GRACE OPEN?
Brooklyn Grace is available for events every day from 7am-2am. Contact us for rental rates for weekdays and weekends. On days when we do not have events scheduled, our business hours are by appointment only.
HOW DO I BOOK MY EVENT?
Bookings can be done in person at the building by appointment, or over the phone with a Brooklyn Grace representative.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A 50% deposit of the rental amount is required upon signing a contract outside of 30 days. All deposits are non-refundable. 100% of the event rental is due if a contract is signed within 30 days of the event and this payment is non-refundable. Events with a signed contract that cancel outside of 30 days of the event date will be responsible for 50% of the remaining balance due. The client is liable for any vendor costs associated with event cancellation or date change.
HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD I BOOK FOR MY EVENTS?
You can rent Brooklyn Grace for any amount of time you need the space for, including time for set up and break down. When you arrive at the start of your event, Brooklyn Grace will provide set up, allowing you and your vendors time to go over any additional items. At the end of your event you or your vendors are responsible for removing anything that were brought into the venue. Brooklyn Grace will break down all rental items belonging to us.
WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH EACH RESERVATION?
When you book your wedding or social event at Brooklyn Grace we will provide up to 10 dinner tables (5’ round), 10 cocktail tables and 100 padded, wood folding chairs (that do not need to be covered) and basic audio visual equipment. We include a 10’ projection screen, the capability to easily connect to music with your phones or computers, Apple TV, and wireless internet. Use of the projector, microphones, linens, easels, and other event needs are available at an extra fee.
DO YOU HAVE ON-SITE PARKING?
There is plenty of parking around Brooklyn Grace, however, like most of Uptown Charlotte, it is PAID parking. We are happy to arrange pre-paid parking for your guests during your event, as well as valet service if you are interested in that option. Please see the parking map under the LOCATION tab to see the parking lots that surround Brooklyn Grace, and the current rates.
WHAT ARE MY DÉCOR OPTIONS?
You are welcome to design a custom room layout and we are open to however creative you would like to be! We would just need to make sure you let the event manager know your requests and we will confirm if it can be done. You are not allowed to attach anything to the walls or ceiling like tape or tacks, etc.
IS THERE A BRIDE'S ROOM AND GROOM'S ROOM WHERE I CAN GET READY?
Yes! The bride’s room provides a great space to get ready with the bridal party, as well as store personal items during your event. The room is included with your rental of the entire space. We don’t have a “grooms room” necessarily but we do have a small space at the right side entrance for the guys to convene before the wedding.
CAN WE COME IN EARLY TO DECORATE?
You are allowed access to your rooms when your rental time starts, so if you know you will be needing extra time to decorate, make sure you include your decorating time in whatever time you choose. When your time begins, we will have all of your tables and chairs set so the room will be ready for you or your vendors to decorate at that time.
WILL BROOKLYN GRACE STAFF SET UP MY DÉCOR IF I DROP IT OFF?
We think it’s best that you have your planner or personal representative that has been involved with your creative process come in and set up your personal items during your rental time since they will have a better idea of your vision. However, if you decide you need extra help we can help you set up the space after we have a clear understanding of what you are envisioning. There will be an additional 20% charge on the rental fee for this service.
DO YOU ALLOW CANDLES?
Yes, as long as they are housed in containers that can catch the wax, and the flames are not exposed.
DO YOU ALLOW ANIMALS?
With the exception of service animals, we do not prefer animals come into the space. We are happy to have a discussion to understand any special circumstance if there is a request for animals.
DO YOU ALLOW SPARKLERS OR GRAND EXITS?
No, sparklers are not permitted in or around the building. Brooklyn Grace is a very old, historic building and we do not want to risk any fire hazard around the building. Bubbles are permitted, however inside they can provide a slipping hazard so we prefer they be kept outside as much as possible. We do not allow confetti, rice, or glitter inside or outside around the building, but you can use birdseed outside.
DO YOU HAVE AN EVENT PREP SPACE?
Yes. We provide a prep space that features a refrigerator and counter space that is on the same level as the main event space. Downstairs we have another prep area with a sink and counter space.
CAN WE COOK OUR OWN FOOD AT THE BUILDING?
No, you are not able to cook your own food at Brooklyn Grace We have a preferred caterer and they will be able to create whatever you would like for your event.
CAN WE BRING IN FOOD FROM HOME OR DO A POTLUCK?
Please discuss with a Brooklyn Grace representative if you are hosting a small event where you would like to bring in your own food, including homemade items, and coffee or tea. Depending on the size of your event we will occasionally allow clients to bring in these items in on their own. Please note, we do not provide plates, napkins, flatware or wait staff for events like this unless requested. If it is requested for us to provide these items and services, the additional cost for the items plus a 20% service fee would be added to the rental total.
I LOST SOMETHING AT AN EVENT. DO YOU HAVE A LOST AND FOUND?
We will hold onto items left in the building after an event for up to 7 days and then we will discard or donate.
